Birches and Azalea 16”x20” Oil

In this painting I tried to push the subject more towards abstraction, yet still loosely adhering to shapes and colors in the subject. Years back I painted a few of what I thought were strictly abstract painting in the style of Diebenkorn. But even in those I couldn’t I couldn’t avoid, unintentionally, including some form or realism even if it’s a hint of a face in the abstract.
