The landscape SLIDE SHOWS display paintings done over a 25-year time period. Most are done plein air; each completed Alla Prima (in one session). Many of the landscapes are painted near where he lives in Cheshire, Oregon or on his property. In many the same subject has been depicted in different mood, light, or season, or even in a variety of experimental approaches to painting. He has also painted other parts of Oregon, the US, and a few landscapes abroad. In most, the artworks are rendered sketch-like or impressionistic which, in his opinion, best portrays his personal impression of the landscape. He enjoys working in many different mediums and painting a variety of subjects. The paintings also display his love of color.
