Christa No.1_30"x24" Oil

Christa is a new model for today’s 3-hour painting session. The importance of practicing doing this for many years gives the painter the experience to determine quickly anything that may go wrong and secondly be able to correct it just as quickly without losing precious time fumbling with the problem.
I consider these portrait or figure paintings to be similar to a diary but done in paint. They may reveal the state the painter is in emotionally or physically, before, during, or after the session.
