Walnut Grove and Mowed Hill 36"x36"Acrylic_No.22 of my Home and Garden Series

For many years I thought of doing a series, painting different parts of our place at different times of the year. Recently inspired by the wildflowers that I planted last year and that reseeded this year and are in full bloom I finally began my series painting on 36"x36" canvases that I have and what better way and time to use them for this purpose. I have decided to do the works in the acrylic medium and in the studio. Some may be based on a few smaller oil paintings that I had done previously but, more so, relying on observation and memory. Documenting in paint the landscape that I see day in and day out is a compelling motive.
