In the November issue of my email monthly newsletter I will show some simple watercolor sketches—Impressions of life in Paris and the beautiful Giverny ponds and gardens. I may start these watercolors sketching with pencil or pen but more often I prefer drawing with a rigor brush dipped in watercolor. Then I add splashes of watercolor. The sketch will have a gestural quality that I enjoy rather than a rendered effect. I will send the November issue on the first.
